Mission, Objectives & Organisation
- Ensure the environmental, health and technical benefits of stainless steel are widely known and understood downstream users and consumers (via Euro-Inox)
- Ensure that relevant health and environment facts are widely known and understood within the stainless steel industry
- Ensure that these facts are available for regulators, politicians and NGOs, as necessary, in a timely and appropriate form
- Ensure regulators, politicians and NGOs understand the merits of, and opportunities for, stainless steels in a sustainable society
- Promote the interests of stainless steel in all relevant activities within Eurofer
- Take an active role in climate change, energy efficiency and related research initiatives
- Gather, collate and disseminate market information, raw material data and statistics relevant to the stainless steel industry
- Gather and prepare basic information needed to document offensive trade cases (Anti-Dumping and Anti-Subsidy), coordinate and act as interface between complainants, law firms and DG Trade, represent the Community industry and organise lobbying
- Promote free access to raw materials sources for stainless steel industry and coordinate position of consumers on trade cases concerning raw materials (alloys)
